Your MOT test will take between 45 minutes and an hour to complete.
If your car fails its MOT test before its due date, you can drive it away from our workshop, providing none of the fail issues are deemed “dangerous”. However, if your MOT test is carried out on the date it is due and it fails you must have the fail issues fixed before driving it again.
If you ask us to fix the failed issues, we will do so and retest it free of charge. Any work which is required before a retest will be fully estimated by our experienced team and we will only do any work once we have your approval.

It’s wise to check the things you can check yourself before bringing your vehicle in for its MOT test. Check things like the tyre tread depths, and washer fluid level, and alert us in advance of any issues you think might cause your vehicle to fail its MOT test, so we can fix them before the test, thus avoiding a failed test and the need for a retest.
The MOT checklist is a list that all MOT testers follow when carrying out your MOT. It covers all the points we have to check for on your vehicle. The checklist is issued by the DVSA and complies in accordance to the DVSA’s regulations
